Altan Farm Summerhouse, Dunlewey, Co Donegal

Altan Farm Summerhouse was built in the mid-nineteenth century as a place to enjoy its beautiful lakeside setting and dramatic mountain views.

As well as a place of natural beauty, this landscape also has a fascinating history that includes stories of booleying, emigration and sheep wars. The two-storey summer house, which is a popular destination for walkers, is now roofless and suffering the effects of time and weather.
